Sometimes the result is a surprise. If your article absorbs dye slowly, it may dye lighter than the Chart. The reverse is also possible—an article may dye darker when absorption is rapid. If having ‘the right colour’ is your priority and cost is not a major issue, choose Custom Dyeing. The SPECIAL (mini) BATCH service is for articles that have accessories such as belts, buckles, hooks, loops, ties or lace and for delicate fabrics. These need protection as they may get caught on other items during dyeing. A special batch ‘sleeve’ is available to separate an article from others during dyeing. This prevents straps, loops, fringes, belts etc catching or tieing up other items. For a ‘sleeve’ add $7 to the item price.
