“A creative dyeing service like no other in Australia”

FINAL COLOURS are a combination of -

• the original colour

• the new dyes

• the fabric’s absorption rate, which varies for different fibres.

For example, nylon absorbs dye much faster than polyester (lycra, elastane and spandex are not visible and fabrics with these fibres can be dyed)

ADJUSTING COLOURS is possible to change the tone or deepen it.

FABRIC ‘BLENDS’ such as polyester/cotton dye well. Some colour matching issues arise as different dyes colour each fibre.

The CUSTOM process weighs dye for each article and colours it individually. This offers the best opportunity to achieve colour accuracy.

The BATCH PROCESS dyes a number of customers’ items together (20 to 30 similar articles). Mid to light colours can produce unusual results as the dye for all garments is available to each one throughout the process. As some fibres absorb dye quicker than others and in varying amounts of yellow, red and blue, they produce different colours. Batch dyeing, especially for tertiary shades, can be a ‘lucky dip’! It is more predictable for dark colours like black, ink and peppercorn.

Colour changes everything! I hope you enjoy your new colours.
