Bed, bath, dining & soft rugs Rugs must be 100% cotton, wool, etc. with no hessian backing with cut pile. preparation Give a hot (90 degrees) detergent wash before dyeing napkins, tablecloths, sheets and towels that have been in contact with food, oils, deodorants and other chemicals. If any chemicals (deodorants ect) remain in fibres they can act like a 'magnet' attracting excess dye to those areas. This is generally surface dye and can often be ‘spot’ cleaned or ‘hot’ washed to remove the extra dye. |
